So, who are we looking for?
We are looking for a dynamic Account Director to work in our Porsche team to support and deliver the marketing objectives, strategy, communications and events across PCGB business units in the UK.
You will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry and retail marketing and be able to quickly build strong relationships with both the Client & Agency teams. You will be used to working with and co-ordinating teams with excellent project management skills, but also prepared to be ‘hands-on’ with projects. This is not just a delivery role we want this person to also add value at every step helping improve processes, ensuring we are hitting SLAs, seeing opportunities to help deliver innovation and the best possible marketing solutions for Porsche.
Reporting into the Senior Account Director, you will have a team including an Account Manager and Executive with access to creative, digital, strategy, data and social resource to manage and deliver what is needed and exceed the Porsche expectations.
You will need to be a self-starter, capable of working in a fast paced environment and have a good attention to detail. You will need to be good at prioritising multiple demands and dealing with a wide variety of responsibilities; from dealing with individual client requests, to managing campaigns, to being responsible for the finance and reporting across PCGB.
You will be passionate about marketing and get excited about finding new ways to solve problems and thrive on accurate delivery. You will have the ability to think creatively and be able to work collaboratively to find the most effective way of getting the job done. Above all we are looking for someone we will enjoy working with, who has a positive can-do attitude, and who can be fully trusted and relied upon.
What are the key responsibilities?
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with each of the Porsche Business Unit clients, to be the first point of contact for the their marketing.
- Being proactive in driving innovation and growing the scope of projects we work with Porsche on.
- Managing projects and leading the team on a day to day basis to ensure the Client needs are being met and exceeded.
- Ensuring the quality of briefs and creative work meet expectations and allow the agency to deliver the best possible solutions for the Client
- Negotiating and gaining approval from the Client on our approach and costs to deliver all projects and creative work and to ensure that work is carried out to these agreements.
- Presenting (verbally and in writing) the Agency’s proposals and recommendations effectively, logically and concisely.
- Responsibility for day to day budget management, monitoring all job costs, and obtaining approval before spend is committed.
- Forecasting of agency income and resource requirements
- Ensuring we are hitting the SLAs for Porsche via regular Monitoring
- Working with the Porsche Centres to help develop their marketing plans and ensure they are being delivered.
Is there any specific experience, skills or qualifications needed?
- Strong understanding of automotive centres, dealers and retail marketing
- Luxury brand and retail experience
- Experience of agency process and systems and a good understanding of advertising and marketing best practices
- Proven track record of building strong client relationships
- Experience of managing a team to deliver marketing communications
- Managing and delivery of marketing strategy, production and event experience
- Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills
