We’re looking to recruit a talented Mid-weight Copywriter to join our small but quickly expanding China team. You will craft great ideas and make ideas live brilliantly online and offline.

Key requirements of the position

  • To bring client briefs to life with powerful creative ideas, expressed well for online and offline media
  • To understand, interpret and challenge briefs and successfully presenting work back to the Client Services team
  • To take briefs directly from the client and presenting work back to clients in a compelling way
  • To proactively seeking out new creative approaches and digital formats
  • To contribute articles to the agency blog
  • To maintain a keen knowledge of our clients’ business and the technology sector as a B2B marketer
  • To think proactively on behalf of the agency
  • To consider new copy/digital initiatives, trends and tools
  • To work within brand guidelines, budgets and agreed timescales
  • To collaborate with the global creative team to ensure work is on brief
  • To provide credible and professional expertise to a range of creative briefs for existing and new business clients of April Six

Professional experience you should have

  • Experience of creating compelling ideas, judging work with the scope of brands and briefs, implementing ideas with verve
  • Able to craft words with design to work well in any media
  • Able to demonstrate good understanding of digital marketing and how to deliver it: online advertising, social, search and beyond
  • Ability to work adaptably: as part of a large creative team, with an art director partner or on their own, as the job requires
  • Experience of great conceptual skills, as well as the ability to write long copy when required
  • Ability to independently research B2B topic areas intelligently
  • Experience in technology and a desire to keep up-to-date with trends impacting both digital marketing and our clients
    • An eye for detail
    • Ability to communicate smoothly with the creative and client services team and develop strong relationships with all departments
    • Experience in good presentation skills, internally and with clients
    • Able to self-managing time, deadlines and team expectations and prioritizing work loads
    • Able to cope under pressure and work to tight deadlines
    • A positive attitude and a desire to do exceptional work

Ideal characteristics for this position

  • Experience working within an agency (preferably an integrated B2B marketing agency)
  • Good working knowledge of the B2B technology landscape
  • Excellent portfolio of online and offline work
  • A passion for tech – we have it and hope you do too!
