Senior Designer

April Six - San Francisco

To help support our growth in San Francisco, we are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our creative team. You’ll be putting great conceptual, visual communication and design skills to work to make brands and projects live beautifully, online and off line.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for what campaigns look like and how they visually communicate. Tasked with creating work that has an instant, positive impact on the audiences in the B2B technology marketing space, promoting the product or brand being advertised
  • Interpreting briefs with a copywriter, generating ideas to present back to the client services team and clients themselves
  • Working with a copywriter, generating and visualizing ideas, judging your own work, implementing ideas and wowing your audience
  • Finding new ways to leverage the digital space for B2B communications
  • Helping source and commission specialists such as illustrators, photographers, animators or film crews to work on unique projects
  • Seeing work from conceptual development through production to final delivery
  • Managing projects and work within a set budget
  • Editing final presentations ready for client meetings
  • Ensuring all client services briefs are correctly interpreted, deadlines are met and projects are prioritized
  • Developing strong relationships with all agency departments
  • Having a keen knowledge of client business and the technology sector as a B2B marketer
  • Think proactively on behalf of the agency, considering new design/digital initiatives, trends and tools on forthcoming projects

Essential skills and attributes:

  • Excellent computer skills in relevant art, design and UX software packages: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD and/or Sketch
  • Able to think strategically, taking a long-term view, weighing up pros and cons
  • Competent illustration skills
  • Capable of proactive and creative thought
  • Impeccable eye for detail along with fast and accurate production capabilities
  • Joining up visuals and copy into one compelling whole
  • A thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing
  • An interest in the arts, social, cultural and media trends
  • Keeping up-to-date with digital trends: both private and commercial
  • Ability to see other people’s point of view and cope with criticism
  • Present effectively and confidently
  • Able to self-manage, cope under pressure and work to tight deadlines
  • Able to manage others and get the best from people through encouragement and involvement
  • Prioritising workloads and others ensuring all projects are delivered on time
  • Able to work well with copywriter and client services to complete task on time and to budget
  • Residing in San Francisco or willing to work as a part of a remote team in Seattle, WA
